Monday july 21st - Session One
Today in class we walked around and looked at everyones visual libraries ( collected images relating to our chosen issue) we then paired up with another person doing the same issue and put them into separate categories - affecting others, Anti social, privacy, tangible online life, "social activism", bullying and step away and unplug(issues within social media). We also went through techniques we will use when designing our poster- juxtaposition, subversion/addition and pastiche/parody.
For independent study we had to go away and create cropping L's for the next lesson, and we also went away and came up with some basic ideas/concepts for our issue.
Tuesday July 22nd - Session Two
In class today everyone put their initial concepts out on the tables and we walked around and had a quick look at what everyone had done. we also started to look at making the familiar unfamiliar and generating idea tasks with our class peers.
For Independent study i just kept producing ideas in my workbook, trying to come up with basic ideas that i could potentially develop. I also did a bit of research on the pro's and con's of social media. Im pretty certain im going to go con social media, but thought id have a look. i also started to look at issues within social media - addiction, stalking and false identity (for con)
